Yummy!

So while I was at work yesterday, walking around my office, I noticed a happy pink box sitting on a little table. Now this was no ordinary pink box, it gets the pleasure of carrying some of the yummiest breakfast cuisine inside. So I walked over to the box, with my fingers crossed, hoping to find some yummy donuts and let me tell you… I did. Not only did I find some yummy treats I found the yummiest treat of all, the cinnamon sugar donut. It was beautiful! I didn’t want to take the whole donut because I am trying to practice self control, so I cut it in half and took one piece. When I got back to my desk I took the first bite and seriously I have NEVER tasted a donut that was this good! Well naturally I had to push all self control aside and go back and get the other half and yes, it too was delicious.

You know what’s the weirdest part about eating a donut? The memories that it brings out… Let me explain… When I eat a donut I remember… seminary, early morning church basketball games, Saturday mornings, and this one time that my cousin Karilyn and I went to Krispy Kremes for the first time with Aunt Lisa and between Kari and I ate a whole box of fresh ooey gooey yummy donuts! Which, might I add, we totally regretted later on that night… Ahh Good times. It’s amazing what memories, something as insignificant as, a donut can bring out.

We've been Hit!

Ok so last week I got tagged by Tiersha and to be honest, I had no idea what to do. She informed me that I have to write 5 interesting things about Brian and I. So... here goes...

1. We have two female pet rats, Kalel (white) and Tipsy (black w/ white feet and belly). We have had them almost as long as we have been married. I was a bit hesitant when we got them, but came to find out that they make really good pets.

2. We LOVE the t.v. shows: The Office, LOST and Survivor.

3. We are going to make giant children with buck teeth, big ears, and big eyes.

4. We secretly LOVE home shows like My First Home, Flip that House, etc...

5. We also love SUSHI! Brian has been eating it for years but I just started about two years ago. The funny thing is that I won't eat cooked fish, I only like the raw stuff. I am considering trying cooked but it will take a while.

I hope this is the type of stuff I was supposed to write...

Now I guess I am supposed to tag someone... hmm.... I tag Jamie Neilson!

Crazy Day in L.A.

So this past Tuesday I went the the Ellen Degeneres show in L.A. One word to describe my experience... TIRING!!! Our group consisted of Tiersha, Missy and Paola. We spent over six hours just waiting in lines to see if we could get in to Ellen, because we only had stand by tickets so we had to get there super early and stand around...

Luckily we got in, just barely, and made it to the back row to our seats. The first 10 minutes was great, we were all dancing and singing and having a blast, but then before you knew it the show was over and we were in traffic for 2 hours.

The most exciting thing of the day was actually being on the set and seeing Ellen. Our guests were ok, the celebrity was Wonda Sykes and that Danny N kid who was kicked off American Idol last week. (We had our hopes up to see Steve Carrel, it was either him or Wonda.)

All in all it was a very exhausting day and I can say with 100% certainty that I will not ever go to the taping of a show unless I get GUARANTEED tickets.

I'm getting braces......... AGAIN!

So about a week ago Brian and I went to the dentist and had a check up. I was born without one of my adult teeth, on the top left side of my mouth so I still had my baby tooth until about two years ago when my idiot dentist at the time, pulled it at ruined my mouth. I always knew I would have to get either a bridge or an implant there, but I was totally caught off guard when my new dentist told me that I have to get braces...again, to make space for an implant. I was so bummed!!! I had braces four years ago and I am soooo not looking forward to the pain of getting them again, even if it's only for a few months...

The thing I do not look forward to the most is that I am going to look even more like a little teeny bopper playing house. I am meeting with the ortho this week and hopefully he says we can do something else like invisaline. I'll keep my fingers crossed. :-)

Vinyl Sticker Pro

So a couple weeks ago Brian asked me if he could get a vinyl cutter, to which I asked the obvious question, "What the heck would you do with one?"

He told me that he had always wanted one just for a hobby, but if you ask me, that's a pretty expensive hobby. The machine itself costs over $300. He told me he would try and sell stickers on eBay to pay it off, so I gave him six months, if it's not paid off by then, we are selling it.

To help in his cause I made a blog site www.vinylstickerpro.blogspot.com, check it out! It's actually really cool, he can make all those expensive home decorating quote decals for half of what they are being sold at.

I am not trying to necessarily sell anyone who reads this our stickers. Don't feel obligated to look either, I just think it's cool what he can do.
