Hello, my name is Desiree and I'm addicted to Facebook.  Ever since I got my iTouch I have not been able to put it down, Brian can confirm this as he tells me every day that I am addicted. Whether it's Blogs, Facebook, Twitter, Solitaire or the like, it has taken hold of my life and created an addicted monster.

A little while ago a friend of mine said goodbye to Facebook, not forever, but for a little while.  When I read that I was intrigued, could I go even a full day without my Facebook fix?  I am happy to report I can!  As of right now I haven't been on Facebook in six days!! I do realize how ridiculous this may seem but it's crazy how freeing it is.  I didn't quite understand my addiction of reading status's, checking out photos, looking up old friends until now... And for what? Knowing useless information? Now don't get me wrong, I still love that time sucker but for right this second we are taking a break. Who knows how long this will really last, but for right now I am having fun forcing myself to do other things with my time, it has been no easy feat by any means but I am certainly enjoying myself.

Ha! Watch, after this I'll break this goofy streak and succumb to my addiction once again in the ever time wasting world of Facebook... Here's to self control! Cheers!

My office

Ok so I finished decorating my office! There were many things I had to consider because of the itty bittyness of it. I didnt want to make it feel like a closet over cluttered and claustrophobic... I love it. What do you think?

I have an office!!

So this last week I moved from my cubicle to an office... I mean I have a door now!! A door!! And walls, not panels!! I'm so excited but now I have a dilemma, how the heck am I going to decorate?? I need your help!

Here is my cubicle and here is my office.....

I know these pictures are not super great quality so bare with me... Any ideas???

Terrariums and Lemons

I love my credenza, I just don't love decorating it. I never know what to put on it. I've seen so many creative ways people do it but often times they use really expensive decor that just doesn't fit my budget. Well a few weeks ago I noticed these adorable glass jar terrariums and fell in love!! My Aunt Jamie had three of them on her piano and I just had to ask how she made them. I was shocked at how simple and cheap it was. Two days later I was out hunting for jars and enlisting Jamies help.

Here's what you do if you want to make your own.... Find a glass jar, you can find them at any craft store for relatively inexpensive especially if you have a coupon. Then you add small rocks in the bottom, pour in some dirt (when I went to the hardware store to buy the plants they saw what I was doing, because I brought my jars in with me, and offered me a free little bag of soil) and add a succulent or two then you're done! Easy as one, two, three!! They are great too because you don't have to water them which is perfect for me seeing as I have a black thumb and kill every plant I've ever owned.

I have realized that I love decorative glass jars so I also got a bunch of lemons and put them in an apothecary jar I already had. I love the natural look both these ideas bring to my entry way.

Stroller Bag

Yesterday I made a Stroller Bag for my cousin Missy's baby shower. It's super fun and easy to use. There are straps on each side of the bag that clip around a strollers handles for when your out and about... then it changes to a regular tote with a long strap for easy wear and carry.

My First Puff Quilt!

A while back while checking out some of my favorite craft blogs I came across this amazing tutorial on Puff Quilts. Immediately I fell in love with the idea and seeing as it didn't look SUPER difficult I set out to make one. My adorable sister-in-law Claudia is pregnant with my niece Sofia so I thought it would be perfect to do it for her. This quilt was no easy feat but so worth the end result. Here are just a few pictures of it:

For some reason I am unable to hyperlink the website so you can check out the tutorial here: http://www.honeybearlane.com/2010/02/puff-quilt-tutorial-part-1-puff-quilt.html.
